Monday Praise Party

Psalm116: 12-14
How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me? I will lift the cup of Salvation and call on the Name of THE LORD. I will fill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people.

Good Monday!!!!

Hallelu-Jah, He allowed us to see another week begin. Thank You.

Like many others, I am shocked by the passing of Whitney Houston this weekend. We know Whitney has been on a collision course for a while , but what saddens me is the amount of people who are focusing on just that part of her life. Whitney was a mother, a daughter , a cousin , a friend , a mentor, and yes she was someone's G-ddaughter. A church member, a neighbor.  A beautiful woman. An everyday person   with a excellent talent that led her into celebrity. What shocks me even more is the number of people who have been delivered and redeemed by G-d from some of those same isssues who seem to have forgotten from where G-d has brought them. " Well in the end, it got her. She shoulda left that stuff alone.  What a waste. I dont feel sorry for her , she was dancing with the devil.  Look at how she looks! Too bad"  And so forth and so on.  I'm sick of hearing it, especially from those who say they are Christian.

At some time in your life have people said things like that about you? Are they even now speaking spirit-killing poison as you are trying to keep your head up?  They sure have said stuff like that  about me, but the Most Merciful G-d in His Kindness pulled me out of the troubles I was in( and yes there were many), but the Glory is He did not save me to forget. I make a great effort not to remember in bitterness, but He did not save me so I could pretend to be too HOLY to recall those painful times. He delivered me to remember that some still struggle and He is counting on me to help them make it through. Just like He is counting on you.
Whatever you may be going through right now , whether is recovery , re-entry, joblessness, homelessness, serious illness, divorce , whatever, stop and praise G-d because  He is allowing you to see the process of deliverance. And once you get there worship Him and thank Him  by helping some one else make it out . The only way to do that is to be real about everything. Don't get so high and holier- than- thou that you forget to look where He brought you from.
For this week I want you to assess where you are In Christ. If you have been delivered  and are out of struggle, Hallelu-Jah! But its not over yet.Now look around you and see who you can encourage. For those of you who are still travailing, the Word for you is also Hallelu-Jah! Release that praise into the atmosphere every time you think about it or feel pain so that some loving spirit who has experienced your pain can find you and help you through.
Prayer- Precious Father , You Who are too wise to ever make a mistake , You Whose Mind is so great that it is unsearchable , please hear our prayer.Father , help us to never forget that we are placed here to bring Glory to Your Name. So many are struggling to find a way out of pain Lord.  I know that You hear their cries. Let us who truly love You be sensitive to the needs of your People and never haughty and stiff-necked , forgetting that we too once vowed  "Lord if You get me out of this".  Anoint us to be like Your Servant Joseph who did not foget his brothers in the famine  but provided for them so that they would see the blessing of their Father become  reality. Help us Lord to be obedient to Jesus when"He said ," if your brother needs you to walk a mile with him ,go with him two.Help us never to forget the past because to forget is to repeat. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen

Friday Night Prayer

Hello,

I know you did not think I had forgotten you, did you???  Never.  Some of my readers did contact me, but said they were a little confused whether they should try to get in touch by Facebook or Twitter. The best way to contact me is to use the "comment" box at the end of each post . I am grateful for every one who takes the time to read what I write in "A Higher Place", but I would like to interact with you, and the only way to do that privately is to either e-mail me or post a comment. I really need to know what you think,  if I can help you with a particular subject , or what you would like to see in future postings on the blog. In the weeks to come there will be some contests and give aways and you will not be able to access those by Facebook. SO, please enter your comments at the end of the posts, rather than "liking" it on Face book.I  know its a little more work but please, pretty please, pretty pretty please?Thank you. LOL

Prayer- Precious Father , as we look at the end of this week , we thank You for all you have allowed us to do. Thank You for believing in us, giving us 7 more chances  and letting us make it through another week. You have kept us through dangers that we have seen and some of which we have been completely unaware. Thank You. As we prepare for worship this weekend, Father, help us  clear our hearts of any anger , bitterness and rage tht we may be carrying. Let us be forgiving and pure in heart because that is the only way we will be able to recognise You when You apppear in our lives. That is also the only way we will be able to see You when we leave this plane. Father , lead us and guide us so that we will not sin against you. and when we do stumble , help us to come quickly to You and confess so that we may be forgiven. Lord be comfort for those who are mourning, heal those who are sick , restore those who are in confusion and please extend Your Mercies to those who are traveling and to those who live alone. Bind the spirits that come against the lives of our children and youth. Please , be their Hope in this season where so many cannot see any Hope. We love You Lord and may we always live to bring Glory to Your Name . Amen

A Prayer for Deliverance

31 Days of HOPE

Exodus 1:15- So Pharoah said to the midwives, " If the baby is a boy, kill him, but let the girls live."

Today there are at least 31 murders docmented in the City of Philadelphia. This has been an extremely deadly start of the new year. The amount of killing going on makes me very very sad because the victims are not just the persons  killed. The  killers are victims, too. As are both families. Why??? the explanations are numerous and come from diversified souces: economics, rage, mass hysteria, HOPElessness , lack of faith, the list goes on . but consider this option: the spirit of Pharoah is loose in Philadelphia and many other cities  where young men are dying at an unbelievable rate.

As many explanations for this pandemic are available, there is one HOPE:  . Pray for deliverance from this spirit. Targeted prayer works wonders, not only in this instance , but wherever strongholds have a grip on the People of G-d. Need proof?
Samuel prayed for rain-1Sam12:18 , Joshua prayed  and the sun stood still-Joshua 10:12-14 , Jesus told the value of targeted prayer in the parable of the persistent widow- Luke 18:1, Daniel prayed facing Jerusalem and got sentenced to the lion's den , but G-d  delivered him, and King Cyrus decreed that his kingdom would worship G-d. Daniel 6

Prayer-Holy and Most Righteous G-d, Supplier of all our needs, deliverus .Deliver us from the evil   that is taking our  sons. They are dying before they  even live .When  we  see them  we are seeing the living dead. You are our only HOPE, Father, As this weekend comes upon us , please let there be no mothers , sisters , wives and children calling for a young man who will never again answer. Deliver us , Lord from the  taker of our future. This is Your Servants prayer and I  ask it in Jesus' Name. Halelu-Jah!!!!! Amen.

Mid-Week Meditation

31 Days of HOPE

Matt.21:22 -" if you beleive , you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer".

Let me say thanks to everyone who is praying for me, and for this ministry. Yes prayer changes things. I am happy to say my MD gave a very HOPEful report today. I want to encourage everyone who is in a struggle , whether illness, finance, recovery, re-entry, family issues or legal problems that there is no question that cannot be answered by faith and by prayer. That is our Precious Hope-Pray in faith and keep trusting even when you don't feel Him near you. Remember , He is  in your spirit, not your changeable , temporal feelings . Keep praying and keep beleiving!!!!

Prayer- Father, please look upon all of us with Your Matchless Compassion. . Some have been going thru for so long they are being led by their feelings. Feelings of fear , of anger, of depression and sadness, feelings of bitterness and hopelessness. Some are so entrenched in their pain that they are not even in touch with their own spirits , much less Your Holy Spirit. They cannot even pray for themselves because the darkness is so great , they cannot  even  discern the Light as It reaches toward them. They don't know that their poverty of spirit is granting them the kingdom of heaven .Have mercy Lord, and please hear Your Servant's prayer as I stand before You  for those who cannot. Touch LORD and heal as only You can  according to Your Word and according to Your Will.  Glory to Your Name Alone , Master . Amen

FaiTH or FailURE- Your Choice

31 Days of HOPE

Hebrews 11:6  Without faith it is impossible to please G-d.

I watched the movie "The Rite" . In case you haven't seen it , this film is about a young seminary student who begins to question his faith in G-d because he does not believe satan exists. To cure him of his arrogance and faithlessness, his bishop  sent him  to understudy a seasoned exorcist. I won't bore you with narrating the events that unfold in the story , but in the end the student has to save his mentor by exorcising him and so the young priest's faith in G-d is restored and he has a respecful awareness of what the enemy can do if he is not confronted with faith.

Although this is a true story and both priests are alive and working to defeat the devil, I noted the theme of the film. In spite of the Hollywood special effects, The HOPE found in this drama is that without faith in G-d , evil will twist your thoughts, distort the Truth, and keep you from succeeding in anything good.

Prayer: Father , deliver us from evil. Amen

What Does G-d Want From Me?

31 Days of HOPE
Micah 6:8 - He has shown thee ,O man what is good, and what does THE LORD require of thee , but to do justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy G-d.

Good Morning!!!
Its Monday morning  and some treatment effects have caused  a week of not writing . However the good thing is , we are still in 31 Days of Hope and we will just make up the week by posting twice for this week !!!!

Some folks are still milling around wondering what G-d wants from them while oppurtunities for service to G-d are going unmet. Others are having long and emotional arguments and discussions about this. As I have said constantly , The Word of G-d is full of wisdom and encouragement. here the Prophet Micah lays it out very plainly as he says:

  • 'to do justly"- this simply means to do the good and right thing no mattter what . We know what is the right and the good thing to do in  whatever situation we find ourselves. If its a choice between paying a bill and buying those killer shoes you just gotta have , pay the bill and avoid the sin of debt. (AHA! didn't know debt is a sin, did you?)
  • "to love mercy"- mercy is love for others . People of G-d must be loving and willing to be motivated by love in all our relationships. This means forgiving , and being charitable in all our dealings with others. We must be willing to be merciful rather than demanding justice  for ourselves in every circumstance. look at the other person's situation and ask yourself what would you do if you were in his / her situation? Your answer may surprise you.
  • "to walk humbly with your G-d"-walking humbly with your G-d means worship. Not the corporate worship we do in our churches and synagogues and temples, but the quiet worship in our hearts that lets G-d know that we hunger and thirst for Him day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute.

If we have learned the good and right thing and are choosing to do them,  if we are careful to be merciful to others universally, then our lives are in constant worship and  He will fill us to over flow with His grace, mercy, and we shall see His Presence in everything we encounter. ( Matt.5:1-8)

Prayer- Precious and Most Holy G-d, Our Father, help us to learn what it is You require of us and then to do it: cheerfully when we can , but above all to do it  faithfully until our faulty understanding kicks in and we  are obedient without question. Thank You ,Father for Your Patience with us . Amen

See you tonite!!! Be encouraged , Dr Norma

A Prayer For The Weekend-Ps.121:3,4

31 Days of  HOPE
A Friday  Night Prayer, Weekend Meditation
I want to thank everyone who has followed  this 1st week of 31 days of Hope. Before I write the prayer for tonite, I am hoping that you have taken the time to ask G-D what Season you are in . If not , prayerfully give this question some thought. The answer will help you determine how you can prepare to be in cooperation with Him as He moves upon your situation. You may be feeling pretty low , your situation may appear HOPEless , but  remember our G-d NEVER sleeps. Psalms 121:3,4

If I can just share something personal with you: In 2010 I was diagnosed with  gallbladder cancer. I had several rounds of chemo , and simultaneous  chemo/radiation. The tumor had started to shrink, I started gaining weight and was back on  the track to good health even though the surgical oncologist said my case was HOPEless . My medical oncologist did all she could as far as treatment and being as encouraging as she could be.As far as we knew my only tumor was in my gallbladder.  In July 2011 after another visit to the surgeon, I went home after work, and went to bed. The next AM I got up for work and just couln't get it together; the reason- an additional 3 tumors in my brain ! I underwent brain surgery the very next AM ( thank G-d the neurosurgeon was not as hesitant and HOPEless as the surgical oncologist!) and I am  in treatment but on the road to recovery.
My point is this : no one knew those brain tumors were there and my medical oncologist was vigilant!!!I had no headaches , or other symptoms of brain tumors. When I think of the things that COULD have happened but did not all I can tell you is G-d never sleeps!!!!! He knew the tumors  were there and in His Perfect Time  He revealed them. We slept them , but He did not. Hallelujah!!!!! I don't mean to bore you but I needed to let you know that I am not just writing words "at"you. I'm in this with you and you are in it with me. Even though our circumstances may be different, our situations are equal: we need the HOPE that only comes from Him!!!While I am writing this post I  need to thank  and  praise G-D, all my family, epecially my husband , my  daughters biological and spiritual, my son and my daughter in law, who actually is my 3rd daughter, my co-workers, church family , neighbors old and new, and all my friends. I love you so much. I thank all the doctors who helped me , my therapists and all the nurses.
Lets Pray: Precious Father , You Who never sleeps, thank You for being The Sight Beyond what we see. Thank You for going before us and preparing the way for us inspite of what it looks like from our human perspective. Thank you for being The ALL Wise G-d who knows what we need before we are even aware to ask for it .Thank You for being our HOPE. Lord bless everyone reading this  prayer , Bless them thru out the weekend with safety, with peace and with an increased knowledge of You and Your love for us and Your Plans for our lives. If we can ask for anything G-d let it be for forgiveness. Not for the state we may find ouselves in but for listening and being led by a voice that was not Yours that led us away from You. Thank You for making possible a Way of Repentance. We claim HOPE, we claim joy, we claim a new start, we claim restoration and we claim  an overgrowth of blessing .Thank You for another chance. In Jesus' Name- Amen

See you next week, be  encouraged and be HOPEful Dr. Norma

Can You Trust G-d with Your Time?

31 Days of HOPE!
Ecclesiastes 3:1,2 to everything there is a season ansd a time for everypurpose under the heavens;a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot.
Everything has a time or a season.Hopelessness is the result of demanding complete control over the time G-d has allowed and the results of our labor in that time. HOPE enters when we realize  that we have to trust G-d with the time He has given us and let Him decide what we are to do and at what point in our lives. If we do this, we will spare ourselves a lot of frustration and wasted time. I say this because many times we have set our goals and time lines without asking Him what He wants done and when. But G-d did not construct the world haphazardly; chances and opportunities are offered at various periods within our lives because only He knows what we can and cannot do and at what spiritual stage we are developed : or in many cases;re-developed .  If you are in despair , feeling that the  time has passed for whatever goal you have set or the "opportunity of a lifetime " has passed you by , January is a good time for you to prayerfully go before G-d and ask Him to reveal your season to you. Yours may be a season of planting or it may be a season of rest or of harvest. Just remember, there is a right time for everything and nothing is accidental in G-d's World.

Welcome to 31 days of Hope

WELCOME TO 31 DAYS OF HOPE
As many of you know , this is a blog for encouragement. Every where we look there is some form of hardship ; in the newspapers, on the news, in our families , in our workplaces. Not only are jobs shutting down, churches are closing and so are many of the agencies that provided direction and assistance. Hopelessness is all over: in every age, in every tax bracket, in every neighborhood !!! January is the first month of this new year. I am not promising any magical cures, but I am convinced that if we can fortify our selves with HOPE in the first month, we will have increased stregnth to handle whatever comes in the days that follow.

I have  found wisdom and encouragement in the Holy Scriptures. I promise not to preach to you but, I know The Scriptures can be applied to everyday life with an enlightening and promising result. We are after, all the Children of   Promise, right ? So. What I need you to do is read the posts when you can, apply what you read to your situation and interact with me, let me know what you think , how The Word is moving in your life . I know many "like " or comment on Face book , and some Tweet, but if you look at the end of the post on the blog page ,you will see "comments".  Click  there , type your comment  or suggestion  and enter it. If you need a private response from me, a consult or a referral, e-mail me. My e-mail address is at the top of the blog.

Prayer-Almighty and Holy G-d thank You for allowing this chance to speak to Your People. Father ,I recognize that I am only a vessel and not a Source so I ask that in these difficult days , You will have me decrease and You increase so that Your Voice will be heard by those who are reaching for the Comfort & Hope only You can give. This is Your Servant's Prayer. Hallelujah! Amen.
Be encouraged. Dr Norma

No More resolutions. .lets say hello to 2012 by saying goodbye!

This is my last Friday night post for the year 2011. When I post again it will be a new year and we will have all kinds of new goals and high hopes for 2012. I know this is a time when many will make "New Years Resolutions" that we will forget about before the end of January: weight loss and time management and closet organization.

So. . .  lets do something different. Insead of making resolutions , make this the year we just say goodbye to the things that have held us back in 2011 & for so much  longer than that. Lets say goodbye to fear, we will get rid of anger and bitterness, we are gonna  kick sarcasm out of our mouths and out of our hearts. Hopelessness &  despair we will toss like a used up tissue. Lets say hello to 2012 hopefully, with every expectation that this new year will be a time of learning and giving and receiving, taking our losses with grace and looking for the Face of our G-d in every situation.

Prayer: Precious and Most Glorious Father , thank-You for bringing us thru another year. Some of us thought  ,Lord ,that we would n't make it , some actually thought there were some things going on in our lives that were too hard for You.But in spite of our unbelief You were patient with us and brought us thru . And the things we walked thru have not been easy, there were deaths of loved ones and unfilled emptiness in our hearts, there have been financial losses and illnesses , but Father we would rather go through these evils of life with You than have to face them without You. As we look back over this year there is much to rejoice over, many have received You into their hearts, a war has ended, someone has been delivered from a  personal turmoil.Thank You , Lord. And now as we walk into a new year we do so confidently knowing  that whatever we face , we know our prayers are heard by our G-d Who never sleeps. Hallelujah!!!!!!

Lets be hopeful. Lets Be Encouraged!!! See you next year. Happy  New Year!! Dr Norma

Merry Christmas To All!!! Why We

Merry Christmas !!!!
For these most recent past  weeks I have been ,like you ,enjoying the December energy: shopping, decorating,  and admiring other peoples' decorations and traditions.
Last month, my husband & I traveled to  Fayetteville,North Carolina to spend Thanksgiving with our son and our  daughter in law.  On Sunday we worshipped with them at their church : New Life Bible Church where  Rev Drs. Allen S and Norma McLauchlin are the Pastors. As it happened, we were at the church on the 1st Sunday of the Advent Season and we were very pleasantly taught many things about Christmas traditions. Some of the teachings included:
  • The use of evergreens- Isaiah 60:13-"the Glory of Lebanon shall come unto you , the fir tree, the pine tree and the box together , to beautify your sanctuary."
  • The poinsettia- a Mexican plant whose flower has become a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem.
  • The candy cane - representative of the humble shepherds who were the first to worship the Newborn Savior. The red stripe- the Sacrificial Lamb, the white stripe- our Sinless Savior. The smell & taste of peppermint relate to the herb hyssop-"purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean . Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow" Psalms 51:7
This list is not exhaustive; many more traditions and symbols were explained in the service . I found it very gracious  that not only did several ministries  have an explanatory part in the service but all the congregation participated , even guests , by singing and by the responsive reading. We had a good time at New Life Bible Church and as we wait on Christmas Eve, it is my prayer that you never forget the reason Christ came , and why we should always remember Sacred Traditions. They keep us in touch with The Reason for the Season.

Prayer - Hallelujah ! Thank You Lord Jesus for laying aside Your Heavenly Glory and coming to Earth so that we may have a Place in Our Father's Kingdom. Without Your Obedience it would not be so.Thank You for teaching us the value of forgiveness. Thank you for enduring The Cross in our place . Thank You for getting up and Thank You for being our Advocate even now. May Christmas with all its traditions constantly remind us of You and cause us to hunger and thirst for Your Presence in our lives even more. Glory , Hallelujah. Amen.
Merry Christmas & be encouraged. Dr Norma

Seasonal Stressors - Beware!!!!!

I believe December is one of the most mystifying months of the year. The beauty of  Christmas decorations, winter fashions, the stark, contrasting natural scenery, and that awesome , hopeful energy charge that is in the air only in December create a wonderful, joyous season. As beautiful as it is , December is  the most stressful month  in the calendar year.
In this post I want to encourage you with  some ways to de-stress December.
  • Stressor -Over extending yourself
Its ok to say "no" when you already have enough to do. Firmly, but pleasantly state that you will be happy to help at another time when you are less committed.
  • Stressor- Spending too much  Set a realistic budget, especially on holiday spending. As you wander around the malls , remember that there are 364 more days you have to live.
  • Stressor- Family drama
  •   Accept your family for who they are- they are feeling the same strain that you are feeling  and you aren't perfect either. Hug'em , remember why you love 'em and enjoy 'em.
  • Stressor- Overeating-
  •    For many of us, it is hard enough to be disciplined about food thru the year.  However, when we are constantly surrounded by holiday goodies for a good month or 2, it is that much harder!!! If you can , eat lightly or have a cup of tea before you get to the party . Should you mess up, forgive yourself and get back on track .
Hopefully this list will give  you some help in navigating though some of the stress of the Holiday season. This is a time of joy!!! Be merry and Be Encouraged!!!!  Dr Norma

In A Season of Hope..........

Hello,

As you know we don't usually publish this late,  however I  just read some really encouraging news, and I did not want to go to bed without wishing you a safe and happy week-end.

As reported by the Associated Press, there are 2 new medications available that have had a stunning effect on breast cancer .One experimental drug called pertuzumab held cancer at bay for 18 mos, versus the 12 months reported  by more usual treatments.  Another medicine, everolimus sold as Afinitor, kept cancer in check in a median of 7 months in women who had conditions that were worsening in spite of treatment. Although the new meds are expected to be very expensive, and are NOT proven to be cures, physicians are hoping that they may become cures when given to women with early stage cancers.

I found this to be very encouraging , very hopeful GOOD news and so I had to share it with you. For more information about this consult the American Cancer Society, or if this information is directly pertinent to you, speak with your oncologist.

This week-end, remember that as Christmas approaches , we are in a Season of Hope. Look for it: its all around us! Lets not forget to thank G-d for it. Be encouraged! Dr. Norma

Friday Night Prayer

Hello,
This is a late post, but I could not close out this week without wishing you a fun, safe and economical week-end.  This is a short post, but please remember to give a toy to one of the Christmas donation efforts like "Toys For Tots". There are many such efforts all over the country, so there is No excuse for us not to participate. I know, I know . . . .  many don't want to hear anything about Jesus/Yeshua all year long , until Christmas so why should we  celebrate "our" holiday with them????? because Jesus celebrates us Christians  all year long and He is counting on us Christians to show Him to them.    So- o- o !!!!!!!! Lets start with the little ones by showing them what Christmas really is.

A Prayer for this week-end: Precious Father G-d, we love You and we thank You for bringing us through one more week. Some things scared us this week , Lord. Some things shook our faith,  and we thought  we would n't make it, but through it all You kept us , You helped us , You sustained us and we again say thank You for Your Love and Your patience. We thank You for allowing us the privilege and the honor of coming before You in Jesus Name.  Father , I thank You for all the service men and women who are leaving Iraq. I thank you for those who are coming home, those who have come home  and I  thank you for the memories and the families of those who paid the ultimate price.  Father, please keep us safe as we travel this week-end and bless every road, vehicle, and driver. Protect us from the predators who lurk seeking what man, woman or child they may destroy.  Look especially at our  children and youth, Father and please hide them from the evil one's eyes  and his presence. We rebuke him , Lord where he has intruded ,we bind him , cast him down and render him powerless in Jesus' Name .  Finally , Father  I ask that as we all go to our Places of Worship , we will be receptive , obedient and embracing of Your Holy Spirit. Bless us Lord and keep us . In Jesus' Name ,we pray.  Amen

5 Signs You May Be Limping Into Your Destiny- Week 3

Okay, all the signs are pointing that you are just about there!!!! you can feel it!!! All right!!!!! the decision has been made , gonna do it, gotta  do it!!!!
"All right! All right!  I just gotta talk to somebody!! Let me just pray with some body . Am I sure this is what is right??? Let me call my . . . .
Wow, my mom has been in a meeting for the last 3 hours. My sister  is on a class trip with one of her kids. I can't even get my Pastor on the phone. Why is my best friend acting like suddenly he has no opinions about anything?  Where is everybody? I can't even find one of my haters. Here I am on the edge of a major decision in my life and there is no one to talk to . Why?????????????????"

I'll bet you have been here , haven't you? Right on the eve of a breakthrough and suddenly; SILENCE. No one to say anything good or anything bad.  Plenty of people up to now expressing their opinions and thoughts (whether you wanted them or not!) , about what you should or should not do , say , think, try , go , stay , lead , follow. Now , at the 11th hour- nada. And you never felt so lonely in all your life.

G-d has a way of silencing your influencers . While you' re on the way to your destiny , He wants the choice to be all yours. He wants to make sure you are counting the costs , and not living in someone else's reality. So ,very often, all those people who have been speaking into your life become unavailable to you because they have the power to influence your decision.

Jacob had loaded up his family and posessions and was on the road fleeing from Laban when Laban got the news. (  Gen. 31:22  ) Immediately , Laban  overtook Jacob in the mountains of Gilead. However, the night before , G-d had appeared to Laban in a dream and cautioned Laban to say nothing to Jacob, neither good nor bad. (Gen. 31:24)  Laban  asked Jacob why did he steal away, reminding Jacob that he, Laban had the power to kill Jacob (Gen.21:29)  Jacob replied (Gen31:31) that he thought Laban would take away his wives by force if Laban knew Jacob wanted to go.  Now ,that would certainly be a powerful influence to induce Jacob not to leave would n't it?  So powerful that it may have influenced Jacob right off the path to his destiny!!!!!!!
Share your experiences  here where you have found yourself very lonely , just when you thought you needed company the most. Post your experiences because your voice gives stregnth to someone else.

Please enjoy yourselves on this Fourth of July week-end. It is my prayer that  everyone will  have fun and stay safe. We live in a country where we are free to worship whenever and however we choose. Not all Christians have this freedom. G-d bless America!!! Be encouraged- Pastor Norma
